"He Knows if you've been Bad or Good, so be Good for Goodness sake"

The Inspiration

The Outfit

I've been Christmas shopping, baking cookies and singing along with Christmas music like a good little elf for the past week :-)  I've really gotten into the Christmas spirit and love spending the season with my man in our new house.
I took my fashion inspiration for today's outfit from everyone's favorite gift-bearing, red suit wearing, bearded man.  Wearing thrifted red sweater, vintage high waist black trousers, gold/rhinestone belt and ring, black pumps, and favorite hat.
Total cost of outfit: about $45
Have a safe and joyous holiday season!!

"And I ain't got No Worries 'Cause I ain't in No Hurry at All..."

My man and I have another wedding this weekend and the rehearsal dinner is tonight.  I will be arriving late, as I have to close the store.  I decided to go with pants for tonight, since tomorrow I'm probably wearing a long dress.  I tried for casual chic pairing black high waisted wide leg pants with a basic white tank and a vintage long black sequined collar blazer.  I went with a brown belt to dress down the sequins a bit.  The pants are old and from some random store in the mall, the tank from Walmart and the blazer from tag* (of course).
Looking forward to spending the weekend with friends celebrating the union of Steve and Kim!!
Happy Friday!

"There must be some kinda way out of here..."

I finally had a chance to use the tripod my parents gave me for my birthday.  I set it up in the back of the store and had a little photo shoot...fun fun!  And, I thought since I am wearing black and white today, some black and white photos would be appropriate.
Wearing my liquid leggings from F21, a vintage peplum jacket from tag* that I am officially in love with, vintage rings, and black pumps.  I had to include a pic of the rings because they are just so awesome!
Hope everyone is keeping warm today...its like 25 degrees here in the STL!
Total cost of outfit: about $60

"She turns herself round..."

We attended a family wedding this past weekend and had a blast!  And, it gave me an excuse to dress up...not that I ever really need one.
Wearing a pink vintage dress, bangles and ring from tag* and BCBG velvet heels.
Going home tonight to put up our Christmas tree.  Its our first Christmas living together and the first time we will spend Christmas morning with just each other and not with our families...guess we're growing up!

Waiting in Vain

There isn't a season I love more then fall. Especially because it involves layering random pieces of your wardorbe from all seasons to make something new. Today I'm wearing a summer dress that has meaning to me because it was the dress I was wearing when I met my husband! Oh the memories. Now that I think about it my whole outfit is From F21 except my vintage blazer. I swear I keep that store in business! The total cost of my outfit is $75.-Jenna

"And today you know that's good enough for me"

This western has been sitting on the rack for a few months now and I've just been waiting for someone to snatch it up.  Got sick of waiting and tried it on myself last night....and, obviously, I had to have it.
Men's vintage western from tag* worn over navy blue vintage full slip, braided belt and textured tights both from Target, and the fabulous yet worn wedge boots.  Stacked on a bunch of random vintage bracelets and was ready for Friday.

"I'm only halfway to everywhere....."

Going to see the Black Crowes tonight at The Pageant!  I thought picking an outfit would be difficult, but it must be my lucky day because the first outfit I tried was the one!
I wanted to be comfortable, since I have to work all day and then will, of course, be dancing all night, but still wanted it to have some funk and maybe a little rockstar quality.
Wearing vintage tunic and belt from tag*, black leggings from Wal-Mart, my fav brown boots and stocking hat.  (I might need to have an intervention over my addiction to this hat...I just can't get enough of it!)  Also, rocked my vintage faux fur vest from tag* as a jacket.
Total cost of outfit: about $125
Can't wait to dance the night away with my dear old friend B-Lord who just moved back from Chicago....

Smells like fall.....

You know when you wake up and it becomes one of those mornings where nothing you put on looks right and all you want to do is crawl back in bed? Well that was the month of October for me. Don't worry though I'm officially out of my funk. The first pic with the umbrella is from today. Raining cold weather here in Greenville. I'm wearing a lace bodysuit, cardigan, and combat boots from F21. My jeans shorts are vintage and the umbrella is a piece of shit that I found under the register today that I later threw away. The total cost of my outfit was around $60. The other pic is from last week that didn't make it to the blog till now. My top is from F21, my jeans are Earnest Sewn, and my flats are from Target. The only thing vintage on me is my cat-eye sunglasses that my husband hates with a passion. The total cost of my outfit is $53 because the top was a gift. -Jenna

Closet Raid

I was having one of "those mornings."  A closet full of clothes and nothing to wear.  So, I decided to try the boyfriend's closet instead and came across this old JCrew shortsleeve button-down....and when I say old, I mean, in the 6 years of us dating, I have never even seen this shirt, let alone seen Ryan wear it.  When he saw me in it he didn't even realized it was his.  The fact that he is about 7 inches taller and 85 lbs heavier, makes it a bit difficult to borrow clothes from him, but I liked the way this one fit and the way it bunched together in the back...kinda fun!  I toughed it up with my F21 liquid leggings and strappy leopard print sandals.  I belted it with a vintage belt from tag* and called it a day.
Total cost of outfit: about $30 (it helps that I didn't buy the shirt)

This Is It

Went and saw Michael Jackson's This Is It last night and am still obsessing over it today.  All the drama and scandal surrounding his personal life over the past 10 years has stolen the spotlight from his talent and that is why I am so grateful this movie has been released.  This Is It reminds us why we all fell in love with Michael to begin with and why, while there will always be imitators, there will only ever be one Michael Jackson.  A quiet, patient, soft-spoken perfectionist who is magic on stage and, at the age of 50, continued to put dancers half his age to shame.  This is what his legacy was meant to be.  For all of you who haven't yet had the pleasure, make sure you go see this movie!  I promise, you won't be disappointed.
So, in honor of the King Of Pop, today I rocked my vintage MJ tee Jenna got for me.  Paired it with this crazy fun green tull tutu from F21, a vintage gold and rhinestone skinny belt and my favorite new leopard print strappy sandals also from F21.
Total cost of outfit: about $45

Living Easy, Living Free

Its rainy and gloomy here in the STL so I was planning on just wearing jeans today...until I went into my closet and came across my liquid leggings from last year.  I had almost completely forgotten about them!  So, since I found the leggings I knew I had to step it up a notch from my original plan.
Wearing liquid leggings from F21, random long black tunic tank, leopard print sweater vest from Kohls of all places (returned a Christmas gift there last year and was given store credit), royal blue vintage blazer, black pointy toe pumps (they're a few years old now, but having a love affair with them at the moment!), vintage necklaces and bracelets.
Total cost of outfit: probably between $50 and $60
Hope everyone's having a great day!

She Loves To Laugh, She Loves To Sing

Today I'm wearing a lot of vintage!  I wear at least one piece of vintage everyday, but I realized today almost every piece is vintage!  Fun!  Wearing vintage purple stretch mini skirt from Goodwill, vintage animal print blouse from tag*, vintage gold and rhinestone belt from Unique Thrift, my big gold watch, vintage necklace and bracelets.  Textured tights from Target and, again, my high black boots.
Got a date with Kev tonight!!  We get together once every week or two (outside of the store) and hit up bars/restaurants we've never been to before.  Wonder where we're headed tonight...

Thrifting

I think we forgot to mention that Jen was in town this past weekend!!  My plan was to document her time here with lots and lots of pictures....but we were having too much fun for me to remember to constantly be snapping pics.  I did get a couple though...
I got off work early Saturday so we could go thrifting together.  Kevin told me about a great thrift store called Unique Thrift which we had never been to before.  Well, we went, we shopped, we tried on and we bought!  We couldn't find a fitting room anywhere so we tried on right there in the store.  As you can see Jen was having some trouble getting the dress on over her other clothes....and then she got stuck.  For awhile there I thought she as going to have to buy that dress and wear it out of the store because the zipper was super stuck...but Laney to the rescue!  Anyway, Jen got a fabulous vintage rabbit fur bomber coat, a cute poncho, and a belt and necklace.  I got a fabulous vintage jumpsuit (which Jen found for me) complete with studs and stirrup pants!!  I also got a vintage gray wool coat with a fur collar, a belt which will be making an appearance in my next post, as I am wearing it as we speak, an awesome vintage hat with a feather and veil which I wore to church Sunday and a vintage bracelet.  All in all, I would say our trip was a success!
For those of you living in the STL (and for anyone who ever visits) be sure to check out Unique Thrift located on St. Charles Rock Road...I promise you won't be disappointed!
