Out on the street the traffic starts jumping

Kevin and I posing before heading out for a night on the town.  We attended the Alive Hot List Party last night at The Pepper Lounge and, of course, represented in vintage.  Alive is a local St. Louis magazine and every year they do an issue dedicated to the "best" of St. Louis.  Tag* was voted Best Vintage for the second year in a row!
Kevin is wearing Levi 527 jeans, random tee and wristband, vintage boots and vest from tag*, key necklace he made, sunglasses and awesome vintage Coach manbag from tag*.  I love Kev's style, he's so rockstar.

I'm wearing another one of my Greenville purchases.  Rocking my DIY cutup tee from Jen's store.  I walked into the store my first day there and a vintage St. Louis tee complete with an arch scene was on one of the mannequins....so of course I had to have it!  I forgot to have Kev get a picture of the back, but its completely open and I am wearing a black lace tube bra under it.  I love interesting backs and think showing off your back is always sexier than showing off your front. Wearing the tee with H&M skinny jeans, old black heels and vintage jewelry.
Total cost of my outfit: about $50
Happy Memorial Day!

Under the bridges, over the foam, wind on the water

Love my vintage robe and necklaces...
I dropped Micah off at my parent's house this morning for a playdate with my mom, so we had to take advantage of the creek behind their house for a photo op.
Wearing denim shorts (from the mall in Greenville), GAP tank, vintage robe, boots and jewelry.  I love this big necklace!  I found it at one of my favorite vintage shops, Retro 101, while out shopping with my mom a couple weeks ago.  I'd been wanting a cool big silver necklace so I was super excited to find this one!  Totally rocking my fringe cowboys from Jen's store again today.  I love them!  Cowboy boots are always my go-to shoe when I want to be comfortable yet stylish, and these babies do the trick.
Total cost of outfit: about $50
Both my dad and boyfriend are out of town this weekend, so my mom and I are having a sleepover at my house tonight.  We're going to snack on shrimp cocktail and watch The September Issue!  I'm excited :)
Happy Saturday!

Like the morning sun you come and like the wind you go

A little bling, a croc, and some fringe..
Modeling a couple more Greenville finds today.  Wearing a F21 tank, vintage skirt and jewelry from tag*, vintage crocodile buckle belt I found while at the Goodwill Clearance Center with Jen, and vintage fringe cowboys from Jen's store The Clothing Warehouse.  I'm seriously in love with this belt!  I love all things gaudy and crazy...in case you haven't been able to tell.
Total cost of outfit: about $40

My man left for a bachelor party in Chicago this morning, so I've got the house to myself this weekend.  As much as I love him I think I'm really going to enjoy coming home tonight after a looong day at the store to an empty house.  I'm going to pour myself a glass of wine, curl up on the couch with our pup and have complete control of the remote ;-)
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!  Have fun and be safe!

Smiles awake when you rise

From Head To Toe...
Just got back in town from visiting Jenna and miss her already!  We had such a great time and it was so much fun to be a part of her life down in Greenville :)
So, in honor of my time in SC, I will be modeling Greenville purchases in my next few posts....because you know we went shopping!
Today I'm wearing an awesome vintage gingham overall dress from Jen's store, The Clothing Warehouse.  I probably tried on half of her store while there, but had to be good so I only ended up buying 3 things.  This dress is crazy and awesome!  I love it!  I've never seen anything like it so of course I had to have it.
Wearing it with vintage jewelry, belt and cowboy boots.
I'm head to toe vintage, except for my hoops!
Oh, and rocking yet another daisy in my hair from my grandma's yard...love it!
Total cost of outfit: about $40
Off to the bank and then the post office...
Hope everyone is having a great week!

"drag me over the rainbow, send me away"

Here and There...
I've worn so many dresses lately, I felt the need to put together an outfit this morning.  I love the new all season leather trend happening now and since its cool outside today I thought I should go ahead and give it a try.  I don't think I've posted this skirt before, but I wore it a few times over the winter and love it!
Wearing vintage leather skirt, vintage lace tank, AA gray sweatshirt, DSW wedges, thrifted belt, vintage and random jewelry.
Oh, and I just got this nail color and am loving it!  I don't normally wear nail polish on my fingers (although I always wear it on my toes) but I went for it and am really glad I did!
Total cost of outfit: about $60
Hope everyone else is having beautiful weather instead of the rainy gloom we are having here!

Paint on my Toes and Flowers in My hair

Wearing yet another long vintage dress in honor of our $20 Dress Sale going on at tag*.  I love wearing long dresses and flowers in my hair!  Its just the perfect springtime outfit.  The flowers in my hair today are from my parent's front yard, but are originally from my grandma's yard.  I was named Laney Mae after her, May Belle.  She was the best grandma ever and one of my absolute favorite people.  Its hard to believe she's been gone for more than 10 years now.  Wearing her daisies makes me smile :)
Wearing long vintage dress from tag*, Target earrings and sandals, and vintage jewelry.
Total cost of outfit: about $40

At the store until 9 tonight and then off to see Iron Man 2 with my man!  Oh, and this time next week I'll be in Greenville visiting Jen!!       Can't freakin' wait.
Happy Friday!

Flyin' Free

As you can see, my hair is naturally crazy curly and big.  I haven't worn it this way in forever!  But, every year when spring and summer roll around I relax a bit and unleash the beast.  I did it for the first time yesterday, became kind of obsessed with it, and decided right then and there I will be rocking the fro a lot this summer!  Its just so fun and big!  And, as my dear friend Daniel said to me today after seeing it, "It looks great!  I mean, its borderline scary...but in a good, crazy way."  I decided to take that as a compliment....especially since I'm kind of crazy myself.  Not in a bad way, but in a big hair loving, bright colored and crazy patterned vintage clothing wearing, loud talking, and even louder laughing way :-)
I am running a $20 sale on all of my amazing long dresses here at tag*, so I decided to rock long vintage dresses every day of the sale.  I mean, I have enough of them hanging in my closet, so why the hell not?!
Wearing vintage wrap halter dress from tag*, vintage and random jewelry, and Payless sandals.
Total cost of outfit: about $45
This post is dedicated to all the other curly-haired ladies out there!  Its time to let the fros fly free!

"Searchin' for my lost shaker of salt...."

You might remember this dress from our very first post.  It is one of my absolute favorite vintage dresses in my closet.  The color is fantastic, I love the back of it and it can easily be dressed up or down depending on what I'm wearing it to or for.  Today, I dressed it down with my fedora and flat sandals.
BITS AND PIECES...
Wearing vintage maxi dress from tag*, fedora from Walmart, Target sandals and earrings, favorite gold watch, vintage rings and bracelets.
Total cost of outfit: about $45

Since I have to close the store tomorrow night, my man and I are having our Cinco de Mayo celebration tonight!  We are heading to Hacienda (a great spot for yummy mexican food on a great patio) for dinner and drinks!  All I want to do when the weather is nice is sit on patios with good food in front of me and a cold drink in my hand!  So, of course, I'm super pumped for our date night tonight!
Happy Quatro de Mayo!!
