Another busy day at the store so Mom, being the awesome Mom that she is, came down to help me out for a few hours.  We were busy helping people with last minute costumes, which is just so much fun!  Lots of great costumes, and I love the people who take the time to piece together the perfect costume versus just going and buying a prepackaged one.  A few of my personal favorites we've helped put together for customers this Halloween season...

Up close and personal...

It FINALLY feels like October here in St. Louis!  We have had an unseasonably warm fall and, while I should never complain about warm gorgeous weather, I have definitely been missing my fall temperatures.  So this morning when I went to walk my pup and it actually felt like October outside I couldn't have been happier :-)
So layers, flannel, fur and boots was my outfit plan for the day.  Wearing thrifted vintage boyscout shorts, GAP tank, vintage flannel and fur vest from tag*, gifted vintage boots, and vintage and random jewelry.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately!  We are a bit overwhelmed at the store right now...so much new merchandise to go through and get out on the floor!! 

Quick post today of yesterday's outfits.  I'm wearing a vintage skirt from tag*, random tee, H&M circle scarf, old boots from Marshalls and thrifted double-wrap belt.

Copycat

So I came across this picture on one of my favorite fashion blogs awhile ago. I kept going back to look at it over and over again because I was in awe of how this adorable girl made a country square dancing dress look so fashionable.

Then one day a country square dancing dress came into the store and every time I looked at it made me think of the girl above.  I put it out on the rack for awhile, but finally decided I had to at least give it a try.

Think it turned out pretty cute!  I definitely used her for inspiration this time, but next time I will figure out a way to rock it differently.

I heard on the radio this morning that people consider Tuesday to be the most depressing day of the week...well, I happen to love Tuesdays!  I've got my mom and Kev at the store helping me today, lots and lots to do!  Then Ry and I are having Jenna, her husband Lance, her parents and her brother Jarrett (who happens to also be my BFF) over for dinner tonight.  We are celebrating Jenna and Lance moving back to St. Louis, and we are saying farewell to Jarrett who is moving to New Orleans this weekend.  I'm so looking forward to seeing them all tonight!

Rompin' Around

I'm struggling with this transitional weather we're having here in St. Louis.  The temperatures are a bit warm for fall but all I want to wear is fall outfits. So I grabbed this summery romper and tried to figure out a way to make it work for October.  I paired it with my tough black boots and studded belt for some contrast to the floral print and light material.  I think it turned out pretty rockin!

Beautiful Day

The weather is beautiful here in St. Louis, my mom was at the store helping me today, we've had lots of great fun customers in shopping here at tag*, and its Friday!!

Now there's a man who knows how to work a mustache

Tom Selleck.  Now there's a man who knows how to work a mustache.  Plus, he is, hands down, one of my all time favorite guest stars to appear on Friends!  So when this vintage Magnum p.i. tshirt came in, I had to grab it for myself...its just too good!

Superhero

I love this dress!  The color is fantastic, as is the long sheer layer over the mini dress.  And, I feel like a super hero when I wear it :-)

Polka Dots

The weather here this week is beautiful...but around 80 degrees which is making it difficult to wear my fall outfits.  Bummer.  Oh well, maybe next week :-)

Had a date with Kevin, the first season of Ugly Betty, frozen pizza and red wine last night...and it was awesome!  I didn't start watching Betty until either the second or third season, so I was super excited to see how it all began.  We started with the first three episodes last night and (in time) are going to watch it all the way through to the end.  Can't wait for the next Ugly Betty date night!

Yesterday

Knits, Prints, and Boots...

This is my outfit from yesterday I didn't quite get around to posting it until now.  Yesterday was a busy day, from beginning to end!  My mom and I hit up a church garage sale right near my house and scored some seriously awesome stuff!!  Then it was off to the store for a busy day of projects and customers, followed by a delicious bbq dinner at home with my man.

59 degrees and feels like fall

Oh, how I love this dress.  I've been on the hunt for long dresses and skirts to wear this fall, but am finding long sleeve long dresses that don't look too matronly are hard to come by.  This dress is perfect!  The thin layers of chiffon hang at different lengths and there are slits up either side of the dress.  Its a beautiful fall day here and I love how the dress blows in the breeze.  And, its also amazingly comfortable!
