"Time makes you bolder..."

Ryan and I just finished watching the first season of Spartacus: Blood and Sand.  I think we were both surprised at how much we loved it and now I can't wait for the next season!  Also, the costumes are stunning!  I am in love with it all!  The women lounging around in amazing long dresses and dripping in jewels and fabulous headpieces were my inspiration for today's outfit.
Wearing vintage lavendar long dress from tag*, vintage ring and cuff, old necklace worn as a headband, and DSW wedges.
Total cost of outfit: about $35

Tomorrow tag is involved with the Derby Party hosted at The Stable in Benton Park.  There will be mouse races, mint juleps, best dressed and best hat contests, raffle prizes, and vintage merchandise from us and our good friends Miss Ohio Vintage for sale.  It starts at 2pm, so if you're in the area be sure to put on your best hat and come on by!  Its going to be a blast!
Happy Friday, Everyone!!

"Like a song that's born to soar the sky...."

I woke up a little grouchy today, so I needed something bright and cheerful to wear....and this skirt definitely did the trick!  I also love this belt and decided a little western rocker edge would be kind of fun with the bright floral skirt.
Wearing long vintage skirt and belt from tag*, tank from the Target sale rack, and sandals from Marshalls.
Total cost of outfit: about $25
See you tomorrow!

"Pleased to meet you....Nice to know me"

Just a quick post today, as there's lots to do at the store!
Wearing vintage jeans and top, random and vintage jewelry, and nude wedges.
Total cost of outfit: about $35
I loooove vintage high waisted wide leg pants!  They are just so fun!  And, I as much as I love skinny jeans and wear them from time to time, they're just not the most flattering cut for my body...but high waisted wide leggers, on the other hand, work quite well.
Halfway through the week!

Green Ball 2010

Ryan and I attended the first Annual Green Ball hosted by (and at) the Moonrise Hotel this past Friday.  It was an event to celebrate the Moonrise's one year anniversary and the 40th anniversary of Earth Day.  The event focused on all things GREEN in St. Louis and featured vintage clothing from tag*!  So, of course, we had to show up and represent!!  And, the evening was a blast!
I am wearing a vintage purple maxi dress from tag*, vintage ring and bracelet, F21 earrings, nude wedges, and flowers in my hair.  I looove wearing flowers in my hair during spring and summer!  It just makes me oh so happy :)  I will wear the dress again soon and do another post so you can really see the dress, because it is awesome!
Total cost of outfit: about $35
Check out some of the models rocking their vintage tag* dresses...

"That a Change will only come when we stand Together as One."

HERE AND THERE...
Happy Earth Day 2010!!  In honor of Mother Earth and in tribute to the beautiful early spring we have been blessed with here in St. Louis, I am wearing my long green vintage dress.  The color is so great, the cut is amazing and its so comfortable!  I love it.  And I am totally kicking myself because I forgot to have my mom take a picture of the back of the dress.  It has a large cutout in the back which of course just makes the dress that much cooler.  Oh well, guess I'll just have to post it again sometime soon...darn! ;-)
Wearing vintage maxi dress from tag*, sandals from Marshalls (I kind of have a crush on them), and vintage and random jewelry.
Total cost of outfit: about $45
Be kind to our Earth.  Reduce, reuse, recycle.  Shop vintage.  Be kind to yourself and to one another.
Peace, Love and Vintage

"Turn on your light. Let it shine on me."

SOME BITS AND PIECES...
I swear I'm not mean mugging the camera!  The sun was right behind my mom as she took the pictures so I'm a little squinty.
Just a quick post today because there's much to do at the store.  Wearing old gray tank, thrifted belt and hat, vintage shorts and cowboy boots from tag*, random and vintage jewelry.
Total cost of outfit: about $40

comfy

SOME BITS AND PIECES...
After spending all day yesterday in those cute green wedges, my feet needed a break today.  The wedges are really comfortable, but I did a lot of running around and by the end of the day the bottom of my feet felt a little rugburned.
I found these great studded sandals at Marshalls a little while back for 15 bucks and haven't yet worn them.  So, today was the day!  Since I was going with comfy flat shoes, I thought the rest of my outfit should be equally as comfortable....and let me tell you, I feel like I'm wearing my pjs.  Its awesome!
Wearing striped cropped oversized tee from Walmart, black harem pants from Target, vintage belt, sandals from Marshalls, vintage and random jewelry.
Total cost of outfit: about $40
Happy Wednesday!!

happy

I'd like you to meet Eddie...
I love this dress!  I scored this awesome vintage parrot dress from ebay and was anxiously awaiting its arrival!  It finally came Monday, so of course, I had to break it out Tuesday.
It just makes me happy.  I look at it and it makes me smile :)  And, I hope it makes you smile too!
Oh, and my mom and I decided we needed to name the parrot.  His name is Edmund...but I like to call him Eddie for short.  Am I a little weird?  Maybe...but who cares?!  The sun is shining, there's a giant colorful parrot on my dress, I had a dinner date with my man last night, I have a patio date with Kevin tomorrow night, and to top it all off...I get to go visit Jenna in May!!!!  Life is good.
Wearing vintage dress, thrifted ring, and old green wedges from Charlotte Russe.
Total cost of outfit: about $55

"....the Soulshine...It's better than sunshine. It's better than moonshine. Damn sure better than rain."

Head to Toe...
These pants are insane!  As soon as they came in, I grabbed them and had to see if they fit...which, wouldn't you know it, they did!  Since they are a tad on the crazy side, I knew they would sit on the rack for quite awhile, so I decided to purchase them myself and knew a day would soon come that I would just have to break them out.  And today was that day!  Once I had them on I felt like going a little safari-ish with the look.  Don't ask me why, because the pants aren't really safari-ish at all but adding the straw fedora and zebra necklace just seemed like a must.  Its a little on the wacky side, but I think I'm loving it :-)
Wearing vintage harem pants, mens Hanes tank, thrifted purple belt, $5 straw fedora from Walmart, vintage zebra necklace, nude wedges which were originally $130 shoes that I got on sale for $9.99 at DSW!!!, favorite gold watch, beaded and polished stone cuff that was a gift from my parent's during their California wine country trip.
Total cost of outfit: about $35
It is an absolutely beautiful weekend here in St. Louis!  Working at the store all day today but with the door propped open its almost like I'm outside enjoying the sunshine.  We're having both sets of parents over tomorrow for a backyard bbq and I can't wait!  Ryan bought himself a smoker so he's smoking us some ribs!!  It will be the perfect way to spend my Sunday off after a long stressful week!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!
