a constant image of inspiration

I've mentioned this before, but in case you didn't know, I have a thing for butterflies. Pretty much always have. In the church where I grew up, butterflies represented "new life" and I find that really lovely. I love that they start out as caterpillers and transform into beautiful winged creatures. To me, they are a reminder that we are always able to transform ourselves, strive to do better, be better, become a more beautiful version of ourselves. My first tattoo was a butterfly, as was my second and my third, which you've maybe noticed is on the inside of my right wrist, a constant image of inspiration.
That said, I don't wear a lot of butterlies. I am very choosey when it comes to adding butterfly pieces to my wardrobe. But this dress was an absolute must-have! How did I not already own a purple vintage one-shouldered, butterfly print maxi dress??
Love. It.
Wearing vintage dress from tag*, old Marshalls wedges, Target earrings and thrifted cuff.
Total cost of outfit: about $20
Lots and lots to do in the shop today, so gotta run!
Happy Wednesday!

broke it back out

I absolutely love this dress. I found it on ebay a few years ago when hunting for a great vintage piece to wear to our friends' wedding. Took one look at this one and fell in love. I broke it back out a few weeks ago and rocked it with one long earring.
Wearing vintage 60s dress from ebay, old earring from Express and black flat sandals from Marshalls
Total cost of outfit: about about $50
And here's my man and I at the wedding a few summers ago....
I wore it with big gold hoop earrings, a gold vintage cuff, vintage clutch and flowers in my hair.
Happy Saturday!!

I'm back!!

I'm back!!
I took a little break from blogging, as my life this summer has been insanely hectic! But, I'm back now, and have lots of old outfit pictures on my camera ready to share with you...
I wore this back in the beginning of June. I based the outfit around the AMAZING vintage purse I purchased from Andrea's Boutique. As you all know, I love anything vintage and everything with animals, so this purse was a no brainer!!
Wearing Walmart tube top and gold hoops, thrifted vintage shorts, vintage zebra belt gifted to me from Jenna, vintage clutch from Andrea's Boutique, old heels from Marshalls, vintage bracelets and rings from tag*
Total cost of outfit: about $45
